Shaggar Institute of Technology (SIT) is delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ethiopian Federal Police University, establishing a far-reaching strategic partnership that will bring advanced technology and innovation to the core of Ethiopia’s law-enforcement and national security ecosystem. The agreement was formally signed today, 20 November 2025, at the Ethiopian Federal Police Headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Under the MoU, the two institutions will collaborate closely in research and innovation, training and professional development, technology development and knowledge transfer, as well as student and staff exchange programmes. Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael welcomed the partnership as a major boost to the Federal Police’s ongoing modernisation and digital transformation efforts. He highlighted the joint commitment to elevating Ethiopia’s Forensic Investigation and Research Centre of Excellence into a leading African institution, noting that Shaggar Institute of Technology’s expertise will significantly strengthen and accelerate these ambitious goals. This partnership aligns perfectly with Shaggar Institute of Technology’s mission to deploy world-class technological capabilities in service of Ethiopia’s most pressing national priorities.
