About SIT
Transforming Ethiopia into a hub of scientific and technological innovation through hands-on education, research, and incubation programs.

Our Founding Vision
The Shaggar Institute of Technology (SIT)was established with the vision of transforming Ethiopia into a hub for scientific and technological innovation. Dr. Berhanu Bulcha, a NASA scientist, spearheaded SIT, which became a reality through the financial support and vision of President Shimlese Abdissa and his team.
At SIT, we believe that hands-on education, research, and incubation programs are key to addressing some of Ethiopia's most pressing challenges. Our institution is committed to equipping the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators with the practical knowledge and skills needed to drive real-world impact.
